Don’t worry, I know you all missed Mamechiyo as much as the mods did!
This photo from her Facebook page (click photo for link) is treating accessories—hair and hat— as a sculpted extension of the outfit. Note that for kimono, hair is often huge because the body is padded out by the necessity of the garment—this can make the head look tiny and out of proportion. Big hair or big accessories is the only way to counterbalance that.
In this coordination Mamechiyo does what she does best, playing with desaturated tones in the kimono and raising the saturation in the accessories and obi. The obijme continues stripes of the selfsame desaturated tones, literally and figuratively tying this outfit together. Without so much to look at on the model’s head, the red and pink in the obi might become the focal point!
